Hijab. Covering yourself up due to modest intentions. Within the society women who choose to dress modestly are constantly battered and labelled as ‘oppressed’. Since when is devoting yourself to the almighty God an act of depression? All around the world, within 100’s of countries, there are Muslims, Christians and Hindu’s etc. People have free will; we have free will to choose what we desire to do. Muslim women wear the head-covering (Hijab) and sometimes a veil (Niqab) which covers the face except for the eyes in fulfilment of God’s decree to dress modestly. From a practical standpoint, it serves to identify one as attempting to follow God in this type of modest dress which has been worn by righteous women throughout history. Prominent examples are traditional Catholic Nuns and the Virgin Mary- Mother of Jesus. Constantly, within the media Muslim women have been degraded due to critics who have no sense of intelligence. How is this fair? How is this allowed? Before I go any further, I should cover the basics: 1. What is Hijab? Many Muslims around the world practice Hijab, which is Arabic for cover, but is extended to mean modesty and privacy. For non-Muslims, Hijab is most often associated with the modest clothing that Muslim women wear. In actuality, Hijab is practiced by both men and women, and includes other requirements of modest behaviour. Muslims follow the rules of Hijab to show their submission to and love for God. 2. Why do people wear a Hijab? Women within Islam wear the Hijab as a symbol of dedication towards Allah. The act of wearing a Hijab is compulsory as it hides a women’s beauty, this is important as being modest and pure is necessary. The ultimate reason why we comply with all the laws of Islam is because we have been commanded to, by Allah the greatest. The Qur’an teaches us to say, “We hear and we obey.” (2:285) the ultimate aim of our religion is to arrive at a deep realization that we are slaves and Allah is our master. What wearing Hijab requires: When wearing Hijab you have to make sure you cover yourself correctly- Covering the chest and all hairs, including the ears, neck etc. (Only face, hands and feet are allowed to be seen) Not only this, but when you start to wear Hijab you are instantly carrying out a large step. This also requires you to cover yourself up and wear loose clothing. Not only does it require you to cover yourself up (only allowed to reveal your face, hands and feet) but you also have to make sure that your body figure is not visible within the garments you wear or the purpose of Hijab is not completed. Your act and personality also matters when placing a Hijab on your head. You can not act all immodest and inhumane within public places- You should guard your modesty and act as a Muslim woman should act. (You shouldn’t try to gain men’s attention and be loud and crazy to attract awareness. On the whole, anything that will make you look like a bad person is prohibited as wearing a Hijab is a very significant act of worship and it should not be taken as a joke). Hijab should be worn with the right intentions and not impure intentions (fashion statement) as you will not gain reward for it, if it is for a wrong purpose. It should be worn with commitment, you should not wear it one day and take it off on the next day as it cheapens the actual meaning of Hijab and devalues it.Hijab. Open your heart and let Allah wash away your hurt

Why did you keep your burden inside you when you have Allah to tell it to?

Why did you fear that everyone might hate you when you have HIM who understands you?

Why did you fill your heart with pain and anguish when you have HIM to fill it with eternal bliss?

Why did you choose to settle in turbulence when there’s HIS pure love that speaks …of peace?

Assalam O Alaikum!

Embrace the greatest love, He, alone could give you!

Pray to Allah for HE listens to all prayers!

Believe in HIM alone and not the deceiving others!

Do what ALLAH says, for He is your mentor!

Love ALAH truly and not the impostor!

When you are in a battle unarmed, let ALLAH’S love be your sword!

When you feel cold, let ALAH’S love warm you!

When you stumble and fall, let ALLAH’S love catch you!

When you have no more food to eat, let ALLAH’S love feel your tummy!

When you can no longer breathe, let ALLAH’S love be your air!

When you have no more to drink, let ALLAH’S love be your water!

When you are lost in the rain, let ALLAH’S love be your shade!

When you are lost in the dark, let ALLAH’S love be your light!

When you no longer can see, let ALLAH’S love be your sight!

When you are bruised in a fight, let ALLAH’S love stop your bleedings!

When you are wronged in an argument, let ALLAH’S love unleash what is true!

When no one understands you, let Allah’s love be searched!

When no one listens to you, let Allah’s love be heard!

When no one believes in you, let HIS love be seen!

When no one trusts you, let HIS love be serene!

When you believe nobody loves you, let Allah’s love be your confidence!

When you doubt nobody protects you, let Allah’s love be your defense!

When you feel nobody cares for you, let HIS love heed!

When someone fools you, let HIS love make you wiser!

When someone belittles you, let HIS love make you greater!

When someone abandons you, let HIS love show you what to do!

When you are weak, let Allah’s love be your strength!

When you can no longer smile, let HIS love be sent!

When you are lost, let HIS love be your way!

When you can no longer speak, let HIS love tell you what to say!

When you are afraid, let HIS love be your protection!

When you are confused, let HIS love be your liberation!

When you are hurting, let HIS love be your therapy!

When you feel like giving up, let HIS love push you!

When you feel tired and fed up, let HIS loves purpose pursue!

When you reach the pinnacle of your journey, the angels of the heavens will welcome you finally.

So go on…Walk on the road leading to HIS Heavens’ grandeur, Don’t go a day without HIS love, you will never falter!

Don’t let the devil deceive your heart, Allah shall conquer it forever!

Hold on and believe in Allah’s love! That’s the BEST you can HAVE!

Please never weep again, and in your heart let His love remain.

Let The Love Of Allah Remain In The Heart

Let The Love Of Allah Remain In The Heart

Let The Love Of Allah Remain In The Heart…….

Ameen and Good luck,

P.S. To receive a smile, give one away. —

The Struggling Mu'min.: Feelings are uncontrollable. We fall in love with strangers, lend them...

diaryofabeliever:

Feelings are uncontrollable. We fall in love with strangers, lend them a part of our hearts, just because we heard small bits of their lives.

And it’s okay.

You know, a common misconception is that if you like someone, you HAVE to do something about it. You have to make the move, have to speak…

theonethatwalks:

Dear Young Muslims, just because you like someone that does not make them the right one, for you and for your deen. Do not allow the heart to have the only say in these situations, the head must also be listened to.

Also, stop being moist and posting moist marriage situations, you’re most likely going to get it arranged via an Aunty who knows an Aunty who has a Son.

The man in the picture is Rachid Nekkaz, a French-Algerian businessman living in France.

He heard about the niqab ban in France. Then he announced that he will pay all fines for women who wear the niqab - not just in France but “in any country in the world that bans women from doing so”.

He opened a fund of € 1 million. Then he said, “My sister, go out free wherever you want and I will pay the fine for you”

Allahu Akbar, May Allah reward him.

Though an individual may not see oneself as oppressed, the society around that individual may still label that individual as belonging to a cultural, religious, or political group as being oppressed, and thus, by extension labeling that particular individual as being oppressed as well. That is judgmental and biased, and as the saying goes “never judge a book by its cover”. I am a Muslim woman, and personally, I feel that I belong to such a group of people who are often identified by society as an oppressed group. While some Muslim women are indeed oppressed, not all Muslim women are oppressed, and certainly wearing the niqab does not equate to being oppressed, though many in the West may think this way. The same may be said of Western women. Not all Western women are free, even though that may be the way it is viewed in the community. One simply cannot make such general statements and extend it on a whim to all individuals belonging to such a general group. I choose to wear the niqab because I want to obey my God and get closer to Him. I want outsiders to know my inner-self, my personality and intelligence, instead of surveying my body and judging me based simply on my appearance. Our covering up is to keep our dignity and modesty. According to Islamic laws, a person cannot be forced into what their heart does not desire, and so now tell me, how am I oppressed? Why are nuns not labeled as oppressed when they are also required to cover up as much as we do? Or perhaps, why is it fine for Western women to walk outside semi-naked, free from judgment and also accepted, but a different rule applies when a Muslim woman wishes to cover up? We can see that the opinions of one group (that of the West) is being held supreme and unquestionable while the opinions of another group (that of Muslim women) is being deemed to be less relevant or even irrelevant. In this case we find the definition of oppression contradicting itself simply because it is the opinions of a different group of people. In determining what is and what is not oppression, one should first consider the opinion of those involved.
